Founders named New Generation Philanthropists of the Year

Posted on by Beth Burrell

Our founders, Beth Dahle and Mary Broach, accepted an inspiring award November 18 at the AFP National Philanthropy Day in Center City.  The crowd in attendance was in a lively, mid-day mood, celebrating many successful stories of local philanthropy.  Named New Generation Philanthropists of the Year, Mary and Beth graciously accepted the award, saying they shared the honor with members — without which Impact100 would be impossible.  Just three years ago, none of us had heard of Impact100 and few knew much about the concept of collective giving.  Thanks to Beth and Mary, we understand that combining energy and dollars is a powerful thing.  It can change a community, and it can change us.

Beth and Mary accepted the honor publicly. Later Beth said it was "very humbling to be in the company of the other honorees. We can only hope to have as significant an impact as they have had on the community."
