“While we were all certainly disappointed not to be selected as a finalist, I have to say that everyone here felt honored and privileged to have made it as far along in the process as we did. It really was a terrific experience – from the initial LOI to the site visit (which was one of the better site visits I’ve ever experienced!).”

Overview

The goal of Impact100 Philadelphia is to provide high-impact grants that reach under-served populations, raise the profile of deserving but lesser known organizations, and highlight unmet needs in the region. Each year, total funding is determined by the number of women who join as members and donate $1,000 each toward the grants.  Grant finalists are determined through a detailed process of proposal review and evaluation by members, and the grant recipients are chosen by a vote of the membership at the Impact100 Philadelphia Annual Meeting in June.

In June 2011, Impact100 awarded a total of $164,000 in five grants: a project grant of $100,000; two operating grants of $20,000; and two operating grants of $12,000.

Please note that organizations apply only for the $100,000 project grant, not for operating funds. The recipients of the operating grants are determined by membership vote at the Annual Meeting in June.

Applying for a grant starts with a Letter of Inquiry.  We recommend that you read through each section of the Grant Applicants menu before proceeding.

Please note the following changes in our grant process this year:
• Letters of Inquiry must be submitted by email.
• Preference is given to organizations with budgets between $300,000 and $5,000,000.
• Applicants must have independently prepared financial statements (review or audit).

Visit the Eligibility & Funding Priorities page for more details. To see project descriptions for the $100,000 grantees and read about organizations receiving operating grants, visit the Grant Recipients page.
