Environment: Urban Tree Connection, Environmental Youth Leadership Program

Family: The Women’s Center of Montgomery County (WCMC), Medical Advocacy for Child Victims of Domestic Violence

On December 13, 2011, Impact100 Philadelphia announced that it will award $242,000 to Philadelphia-area charitable organizations in June 2012. This amount represents an increase of nearly 50% over last year, and provides funds to award two $100,000 grants as well as three significant operating grants.  For more information, please see the press release.

On June 6, 2011 at the Annual Meeting, Impact100 Philadelphia awarded a $100,000 project grant to West Philadelphia Alliance for Children (WePAC), and four operating grants to Northwest Philadelphia Interfaith Hospitality Network, Urban Tree Connection, Community Arts Center, and Concern for Health Options: Information, Care and Education (CHOICE). On December 13, 2010, Impact100 Philadelphia announced that it will award $164,000 to Philadelphia-area charitable organizations in June 2011. This amount represents an 18% increase over last year, providing enough funds to give grants to all five finalists.  For more information, please see the press release.

On November 18, 2010, National Philanthropy Day, Beth Dahle and Mary Broach, founders of Impact100 Philadelphia, received the New Generation Philanthropist of the Year award from the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Each year AFP honors individuals and groups who, through their hard work and dedication, have enhanced philanthropy, their communities and the world.  Mary and Beth were nominated for the award by the Philadelphia Committee to End Homelessness, the recipient of Impact100’s first grant in 2009.  For more information and photos of the event, please see our blog.
