Impact100 Philadelphia is committed to providing our members with hands on experiences at our region’s leading nonprofit organizations. On Saturday, September 22, we joined with other civic and community groups for a day of service at Bartram’s Garden, a colonial treasure in Southwest Philadelphia.
Bartram’s Garden is a 45-acre National Historic Landmark, operated by the John Bartram Association in cooperation with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation. The Association’s mission is to protect and enhance the landmark Bartram’s Garden and House; advance the Bartram legacy of discovery, gardening, and art; and inspire audiences of all ages to care for the natural world. Our members weeded and winterized, potted and planted, and learned about the history of the home and garden from the Lenape to the colonists through 19th and 20th century development to today’s revitalization. We are proud that are members are not afraid to get their hands dirty to make important contributions to Philadelphia and the surrounding area. Impact100 Philadelphia is pleased to join with other groups to make a difference in our community. Additional events are currently in the planning stages.
