ARTZ Philadelphia is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and well-being of people living with dementia and their care partners through joyful interactions around arts and culture. Its evidence-based programs connect people with dementia and their caregivers with artists, cultural organizations, and each other. ARTZ Philly helps to build caring, supportive communities that restore and preserve the self- esteem and dignity of its constituents, regardless of their color, culture, residence, or economic resources.

People living with dementia are often not viewed as full members of society, and are told what they need, rather than being asked. In its North Philadelphia projects, ARTZ Philly’s community advisory groups steer its community-driven practice, and input from its constituents shapes programming.
