ASAP received funding for its Debate and Chess: Philly’s Next Generation of Strategic Thinkers program that provides safe and stimulating after school enrichment activities in chess, debate, and Scrabble for students from kindergarten through grade 12. ASAP’s programs are targeted especially toward schools rated as “under performing” by the School District of Philadelphia and provides activities for the city’s youth during the critical unsupervised hours after school.
