We are proud to celebrate a decade of giving with our largest grants ever. Our record membership will provide $387,000 in grants to five Philadelphia area nonprofits in June 2018. In our tenth grant cycle, Impact100 Philadelphia will award three high-impact grants of $100,000 as well as two substantial unrestricted operating grants of $43,500 dollars. With the commitment of this year’s 387 members, the women of Impact100 Philadelphia will have awarded nearly $2.8 million since 2009 to nonprofits in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery or Philadelphia, and Camden Counties.

Co-President Claudie Williams explained that the 2018 award of $387,000 represents the combined giving of 387 women. “In our giving model, women pool their individual donations of $1,000 each to make a more significant impact than their single donation could make on its own.” Co-President Madge Rothenberg shared, “We are proud to support the work of nonprofits who are addressing the critical needs of underserved people in our region.” These grants create a create a Ripple Effect – leveraging the philanthropic investment of our members and allowing grantees to focus on their Core Mission, amplifying benefits through the community.

Impact100 Philadelphia is part of the fastest growing movement in philanthropy. Worldwide, collective giving has tripled since 2007 and raised $1.29 billion. This movement engages people often left out of traditional philanthropy—especially women and people of color.
