Everyone knows that if you play your cards right, good things will happen. Impact100 Philadelphia member Deb Crisfield has turned that cliche into a career plan. She has been a professional bridge player for the past 20 years. She literally plays her cards right, and teaches and coaches players, from novice to expert, throughout the country to improve their game. Deb has authored numerous books on bridge partnerships, ethics, competition, youth sports, and game and coaching strategy. As a Ruby Life Master, Deb is one of the most sought after instructors in the Philadelphia area.
When she moved to Chestnut Hill just over three years ago, Deb knew she wanted to become fully engaged in her new community. She joined Impact100 Philadelphia in 2016 and last year served as a member of the Environment Focus Area Committee. Deb reports that one of the great benefits of membership has been her introduction to a broad range of local nonprofits through site visits and the grantmaking process. She expects to continue to learn about how to strengthen her new hometown through continued participation in Impact100 Philadelphia activities, particularly the membership engagement events.
You don’t need to be a card shark to meet Deb Crisfield. She is hosting an Impact100 Philadelphia information session with Karen Bachelder and Kathy Schlesinger on Wednesday evening, November 7, in her Chestnut Hill home.
