Art-Reach connects underserved audiences, including disabled and low income residents in the Philadelphia region with cultural experiences and the transformative power of the arts. They provide discounted tickets to cultural events for thousands of disabled individuals who otherwise might not be able to attend. In 2015, Art-Reach’s ENCORE Program served 5,300 disabled individuals by pairing many of its 172 human services agency members (including Magee Rehabilitation and Overbrook School for the Blind) with 175 arts partners (including the Penn Museum, Barnes Collection, Philadelphia Orchestra, Walnut Street Theatre, Philadelphia Zoo and Flower Show). Impact funding allows Art-Reach to expand the ENCORE Program, and to produce a documentary of ENCORE outreach programs to demonstrate “impact” to future funders and program partners.
