IMPACT100 PHILADELPHIA AWARDS $360,000 IN FUNDING TO FIVE AREA NONPROFITS!

 

On June 5th 2017, Impact100 Philadelphia voted to award $360,000 in Core Mission and General Operating grants at their ninth Annual Meeting.

 

At the Crystal Tea Room in the historic John Wanamaker building, Impact100 members heard presentations from five grant finalists and voted for those organizations that received Core Mission grants and those that received General Operating funding. Three $100,000 Core Mission grants and two $30,000 General Operating grants were at stake.

 

Representing the collective giving of 360 women, the 2017 grants raised Impact100 Philadelphia’s total giving to over $2.3 million dollars since its founding in 2008.

Community Volunteers in Medicine

2017 Awarded $30,000 General Operating grants:

Philadelphia Young Playwrights

National Audubon Society, Audubon Pennsylvania

 

Impact100 brings together individual women donors to pool their $1,000 contributions in order to provide high-impact grants to nonprofits providing services in our community. Co-President Mary Grace Tighe explains “Impact100 helps donors feel connected to their giving in a meaningful way, and helps them leverage their donations most effectively.”

 

Our mission is to engage women in philanthropy and collectively fund high impact grants to nonprofits in the Philadelphia region.  “Through Impact100, we are bringing more women to the philanthropy table and developing leaders of all ages to address the vital needs around us.” said Co-President Claudie Williams. “Furthermore, we are part of a growing national movement of women’s giving.”
